If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience, look no further than yakiniku! It’s a fun way to enjoy dinner with your friends and family. This style of dining is popular in Japan and can be found in many different cities.
Yakiniku, which translates to “grilled meat” in Japanese, is fairly self-explanatory. You simply choose different raw meat to cook and season at your own table. If you’re in an area that hosts many tourists or English-speakers, it never hurts to ask if they have an English menu available. If not, utilize photos to decide what you would like to try.
Prep your table before the meat arrives. There will usually be various sauces to try. Pick your favorites and pour them into the small tray with three compartments. Next, grease the mesh grill with the small piece of cow fat they provide for you. This will ensure the meat doesn’t stick.
Stop by the Yujo Community Center front desk to ask about best places to try Yakiniku at Fussa or make a reservation at the restaurant of your choice.
